Bucks County voters will have until Friday, Nov. 1 to apply for, receive, or turn in a mail-in ballot, per a court order from Judge Jeffrey Trauger, according to a Reuters report.
Court documents obtained by Daily Voice confirm that Trauger entered the order at 2:21 p.m. This was in response to a lawsuit filed by the Trump campaign, Senate candidate Dave McCormick, and the Republican National Convention earlier on the same date, previous reporting by Daily Voice states.
The lawsuit was filed against the Bucks County Board of Elections, its three members — Chair Bob Harvie, Vice Chair Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Gene DiGirolamo — and its director, Deana Dean, according to court documents.
Daily Voice reached out to the Bucks County Board of Elections for comment regarding the lawsuit but did not receive a call back at the time publication.
In a separate election issue, Bucks County Sheriff Frederick Harran said that the decision to close lines early at three Bucks County Administration voting center locations was not his decision, according to prior reporting by Daily Voice. The election lines are under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, Harran said.
